“Pele met a handsome warrior named ‘Ohi’a and she asked him to marry her. ‘Ohi’a, however, had already pledged his love to Lehua. Pele was furious when ‘Ohi’a turned down her marriage proposal, so she turned ‘Ohi’a into a twisted tree.
Lehua was heartbroken, of course. The Gods & Goddesses took pity on Lehua and decided it was an injustice to have ‘Ohi’a and Lehua separated. They thus turned Lehua into a flower on the ‘Ohi’a tree so that the two lovers would be forever joined together.”
It is said that if you pick a lehua blossom, it’ll rain that same day because the two lovers have been separated.

Although our 14k gold-filled jewelry is durable enough for working out and swimming in, here are some tips to improve it's longevity:
-Avoid wearing your gold filled jewelry in the ocean or swimming pools, as the salt water and chlorine can cause damage.
-Keep your gold filled jewelry as dry as possible and away from humidity. Make sure you store it individually in an air-tight plastic bag as rubbing it against other jewelry can cause it to lose its sheen.
-Avoid wearing your gold filled jewelry when working out. Exposure to the salt from sweat can cause your pieces to become dull.
-Be mindful that perfume, hairspray and hand lotions may tarnish your gold filled jewelry due to the harsh chemicals they contain.
-Gently wipe your gold filled piece with a jewelry polishing, non-scratch cloth every now and again to promote shine.
-Each piece of jewelry receives a square polishing cloth in case you don't have one at home.
