Details:
- NO LAVA ROCKS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS COLLECTION
- It’s forbidden to take anything from Hawai’i during your trip, especially lava rocks and sand. These are seen as the Goddess Pele’s children and a curse falls upon anyone who steals her young. This curse is only lifted once what was taken is returned.
- Part of the proceeds will be donated to “Ho’ola Na Pua”, a “non-profit organization committed to the prevention of sex trafficking and proving care for children who have been exploited.”
- During the last eruption of Mauna Loa in ‘22, I was moved. Chicken skin, tears in my eyes, nothing but love and adoration for the Goddess Pele and her birthing of new ‘aina. When I was asked to set a REAL piece of lava in a ring for a tourist as they rolled their eyes at the legend of being cursed for taking a piece of the island back to the mainland, I realized I needed to try and do something about it. After making a mold of a couple pieces of lava and respectfully putting them back exactly where I found them (I’m for real), I knew that my new mission was to educate others about respecting Hawai’i through wearable art and give back to the community. One day, aloha will save the world.

Although our 14k gold-filled jewelry is durable enough for working out and swimming in, here are some tips to improve it's longevity:
-Avoid wearing your gold filled jewelry in the ocean or swimming pools, as the salt water and chlorine can cause damage.
-Keep your gold filled jewelry as dry as possible and away from humidity. Make sure you store it individually in an air-tight plastic bag as rubbing it against other jewelry can cause it to lose its sheen.
-Avoid wearing your gold filled jewelry when working out. Exposure to the salt from sweat can cause your pieces to become dull.
-Be mindful that perfume, hairspray and hand lotions may tarnish your gold filled jewelry due to the harsh chemicals they contain.
-Gently wipe your gold filled piece with a jewelry polishing, non-scratch cloth every now and again to promote shine.
-Each piece of jewelry receives a square polishing cloth in case you don't have one at home.
